Happy Halloween!

Muaaaahahahaha, greeeeeetings!

I just wanted to post 'Happy Halloween'.  I have to give out candy to all the kids in the hood.  Though, not sure how much I'll be passing out because the mosquitoes are crazy over here.  They will carry me away and eat me up.

I hope everyone has a great evening!  Until tomorrow!

Blog Hops and Challenges!

Well, thanks for dropping by crafters.  Today has been a computer kind of day.  It is 4:30 p.m., and I have done nothing but surf online and hop from one blog to another!  Fun fun fun!  Wow, the inspiration I have found and the blogs I am now following.  So much talent out there.  Great jobs ladies!

I have also entered a couple of challenges, thanks to Susan for the hook up!  Just not sure I did some correctly.  I wanted to include the buttons on my blog, but don't know how to do the 'linky thing'.  But this was my first time so I hope at least I get new followers and inspiration!

Happy Halloween Eve!  I can't wait until tomorrow!  I truly enjoy Halloween decorations and everything about Halloween.  It is almost coming to an end, but there is always the next Holiday and then next.  Just more inspiration and projects.

Thanks for dropping by, until the next time.

Happy Hallows Eve Eve

Greetings, Muuuuaaaaahahahahahaha

Ok, was tyring to sound a little creepy, hope you got the sound effect of it - lol.  Anyways, thanks for dropping by.  I just wanted to share one more thing that I came across today, Saturday.  I have been trying to think of Fall things and came across this old peanut butter plastic container I have (recycle).

Well, decided to turn it into a Halloween project (technically I still have three more days).
top view, empty peanut butter jar (plastic) and lid

finished project
So, all you have to do is cover the lid with black material, hot glue it, tie ribbon, rope, anything you like around the lid (choice of colors can vary also).  The jar orange material around it, hot gule it.  I cut a fabric pumpkin and glued it (or any embellishment of your liking).  Viola.

I also have one more witches hat to show you (purse style).
I had this from last year, I forgot to bring it out.  Found a box of Halloween things in an upstairs closet I forgot about - lol.  I remember this being so cool when I found it last year and still is cool, so wanted to share it with you all.  This is simple too.  Just use cardstock for the base and cover with black material (hot glue), cut the belt and stars and stitch around each so they don't fray, then hot glue to the bag, then hot glue the black bag to the base, viola bag/purse witch hat!

I hope you all are having a great Halloween weekend and get to go to some Halloween Parties!  Wanted to share my foyer display and some around the house decorations with you since the Halloween deco will all be coming down next week.   Thanks for dropping by, enjoy.

Have a spooktacular weekend, hope to see you back on Monday.

Freaky Friday - Happy Hallows!

Yay, it's Friday and it's Halloween weekend.  I'm excited.  No plans, just love the weekend and that it is Halloween weekend and most importantly - the weather is fangtabulous here!  We will have 46 degree weather tonight!  Love, love the cold weather.  Too bad we don't get snow on ocassion here :)

Hello to all my crafty friends, thanks for dropping by.  I want to welcome the newcomers and thanks for the nice comments.  I appreciate all of you that stop by and visit.

Yesterday I didn't make a post because, to be truthful, I just completely forgot - lol.  Yes, I stayed downstairs doing other things, I was watching television, something I seldom do and lost track of time.  I went to bed around 1:30 a.m., and realized 'Oh, my, I forgot to post'.  LOL, but no worries.  Here I am.

Thursday I worked on a few of the pumpkins I have left.  I decided to do some more vinyl deco from Chic & Scary Cartridge and add a mask w/bling to accent it.  I made that one for my MIL (mother in law).  The rainbow pumpkin is not complete, I may work on it tonight.  I hope you like the pumpkins and mask as attachment, can be used as a costume if you don't have one, lol.

Count down to Halloween Night!

Ok, check this out guys.  I love, love this - I am inspired to make one for Fall too.   Looks like my Halloween one, but really love this look.  I love clocks and hanging things.  I see a Fall wreath in the making.

Well, crafters, thank you for dropping by.  I hope everyone has a spooktacular weekend.  I will post if I find inspiring things to share.

Wednesday Count-down: 5 days until Halloween

Hello, Everyone!

I hope you are all having a FABULOUS week.  I cannot believe it is Wednesday, hump day.  Where does the time go?  Are you all ready for more projects?  I am trying to get as many as I can done before this weekend for Halloween.  Then I'm done with Halloween!  Eeeek!

I took the day off to get some things done.  Plus I am really not that busy at work.  We are in trial, but as far as what I have to do, I have done it.  So, decided what better time to take off, than now.

I made a few more bottles for Terri, co-worker.  I want to be able to take them to her tomorrow so she can enjoy them for Halloween.  They are altered wine bottles.  I just cut labels, cut some with my Cricut Happy Haunting Cartridge, mod-podge the bottles, and spray glitter mist on them, let dry and bling them up.
front of the bottles

back of the bottles

I also had a little time to alter a frame for Halloween ($1.00 frame from Dollar Tree and scraps of Halloween paper I have had leftover in my scraps stash).  I also recycled CD that wasn't useable anymore and made another witch hat with a styrofoam cone I happen to have (also from the Dollar Tree).  Covered with left-over Halloween paper, crepe paper, and "EEK!" wooden word from Hobby Lobby for .39 cents, put a bow and some stickles/bling and viola!  Witch Hat #2.  I feel like I am on a roll.

The phrase on the frame I cut with my Cricut machine from the Chic & Scary Cartridge, the rosettes I just cut out of Halloween paper and scored and glued together and embellished with skeleton in center and button on the other.  That about has been my day today.  I think it has been productive.

I also wanted to share these awesome Witch Boots!  Yes, covered w/again Halloween Paper!  So, easy to do.  If you want to know more about how to make the boots here is the link: http://blog.basicgrey.com/?p=683  Remember you can also make some for Christmas as deco for your home.  Yes, like elf booties!  I will try to get to making some of these and post sometime in the near future.
here is the template: (also the Happy Hauntings Cartridge has witches boots)  These would make great cards!  Can't wait to start working on these.  Yay!

I hope your day has also been productive in whatever you are doing or have done.  I again, appreciate you dropping by to check out my projects.  I hope I inspire you.  Leave me some craft love, thanks again.

Live, laugh, and love

Jackie

Tag Tuesday

Good evening, Everyone.

I hope you have had a great Tuesday.  Today I thought I would share a few things with you.  First I want to share the tag I made a little while ago, he he he.  I figured I would start doing tags on Tuesday, fast and easy.  Today being so close to Halloween of course, I made a Halloween tag.  I altered it from a tag that came with my jeans.  I knew the tag would come in handy one day, it even had a backing to it.  So here is my tag, I hope you like it, do leave some craft love, would love to hear what you have to say.  I also blingaged up a small pumpkin I had to put next to it.

Well, there is also something else I want to share with you all.  I started to PINTEREST!  Yes, I love it, there are so many ideas, photos, places, foods, junk, furniture, home decor, you name it, it's on Pinterest.  I have linked it on my blog now.  Click on the RED P!  It will take you to my Pinterest.  If you want to be invited, let me know by sending me your email and I will send you an invite.

Also, Silhoutte is having a fabulous giveaway, a new cameo, go check it out! http://tatertotsandjello.com/2011/10/thanksgiving-project-with-the-new-silhouette-cameo-and-giveaway.html/comment-page-16#comment-119656
I hope for a silhouette cameo!  The endless projects!

Thanks for dropping by today.  I hope you enjoy all the goodies I informed you about and you get out there and get inspired!

Monday Marvels

Welcome guys,

Sorry I was out of wack Friday.  I just didn't have it in me.  I think I just burned myself out.  But I am back and trying to get on track and in the mood.  There are only SEVEN days left until Halloween, so back to creating and inspiring.

Welcome and glad you have returned to see what can inspire you and what inspires me.  I wanted to share a site with you that I got from my good friend, Nancy.  She is part of Rhonna's Designs, I can actually say I know someone famous...he he he.  Nancy has shared a great free printable from Emily.  Here is the site you can get the  FREE printables.  You can get a 5x7 or 8x10 (or both).  They would look great in a fancy frame (you can even cut one out from the Cricut Cartridge if you have one, there are several with frames.  Art Phil, Happy Haunting, Fancy Frames, those all have frames.  Or you can do anything else you want with it.  I just think that would be a great idea.

http://www.isthisreallymylife.com/2011/10/wicked-witch-halloween-printable-giveaway/

Here is the printable:

The images above are simply JPEGs. You can download the printables by clicking on the images and then saving the file to your desktop. But first, a few quick rules:
  • ITRML printables are for personal use only.
  • If you decide to re-post or use the image on your blog or website, you MUST cite the source and include a link to isthisREALLYmylife.com.
  • Personalization and other customizations are not available on free printables; they are offered “as-is.”
I hope you enjoy this printable as much as I have.  It will be cute also in one of your personal frames too, just change out your photo for Halloween and insert printable.  Anything goes for personal use.

Until next time, live, laugh, and love. Enjoy the journey!
Hugs,
Jackie

Tough Thursday

Hey, guys.

Sorry I didn't get around to posting anything on Thursday.  I was b-e-a-t!  Yeap, finally caught up to me.  I just lounged and caught up on some recorded t.v. shows.  The good wife, though somehow the time of recording was messed up on the DVR and it recorded 40 minutes of some dumb show, some couples running around with a map, not sure what it was.  So, I only got to watch about 20 minutes of the Good Wife of the three shows I recorded.  So each left me hanging.  Wow, that sucked!

I just wanted to share something quick with you all today.  Webster's Pages has a wonderful giveaway!  Check it out! http://websterspages.typepad.com/webstershome/2011/10/wanna-win-websters-staff-favorites.html

Ok, I will be back later.  I hope to be inspired and inspire.  I will share what inspires me later.  I was dropping by to post for Thursday, since I got a little lazy and didn't.  I found this on FB and wanted to spread the joy Webster's Pages are giving away.  Good luck.  I hope I win!  he he he.

Thanks for dropping by,
hugs

Wow Wednesday!

Hello, to my fellow crafters,

I want to let you know that I have entered my Halloween Rosette Wreat (wall art) in a challenge!
http://lessology.blogspot.com/2011/10/lessology-challenge-4-wall-art.html
check it out.

I have really enjoyed being off these past two days, but back to work tomorrow.  I think I could get use to staying at home a couple of days out of the week.  I have had some fun working on my Halloween projects.  I didn't realize that even though I am at home and working with no one to interupt me, I still do not get that much done.  Where does the time go when you are concentrating?  Of course, both days I did have to get out and run some errands before I got started.  So, I actually started working on my projects at 1:00 p.m.  So, five hours straight isn't bad for the projects I completed.

I think too much.  'rolling eyes'

I do want to share with you of course.  I hope you enjoy and I hope I inspire.

So, I would love to hear from ALL MY FOLLOWERS, ha ha ha.  I'm still working on spreading the word on that, maybe you all can help.  Tell a friend so they can tell a friend, and so on and so on...something like that.  I am fairly new to blogging, but have enjoyed my first month.

I hope you all come back again.  I still have more to do, whew, and loving every minute of it.

Until next time, enjoy the journey; live, laugh, and love.
Hugs,
Jackie

Crafty Tuesday

Hello, crafters:

I hope all is well.  I took a vacation day today (and will be taking a vacation day tomorrow too) so that I could craft and craft.  But wow, time flies.  I feel like I have not gotten a lot done.  I have been crafting for five hours and have only completed five Halloween Altered Bottles.  Here is what I have done.
I made three of them for a friend at work, Gina.  I am also working on a six-pack to just put in my kitchen on a tray for that spooky effect on my bar counter.  He he he.

They were all very easy to do.  I cut frames and labels from Happy Hunting and Chic & Scary Cartridges.  I used T!m Hotlz stamps and CTMH wicked stamps.  I mod-podged the bottle and then placed the labels on and mod-podged those on also.  Then I glimmer misted (any color you want) the bottle.  Once they were dry, I put blingage on them with stickles and crystals.

I hope you like them, enough to try to make the altered bottles, they are fun to make.  Thanks for dropping by.  I must keep crafting (going to be an all nighter).  Until tomorrow, thanks for dropping by.

Enjoy the Journey; live, laugh, and love.
Hugs
Jackie

P.S. I wanted to share some more altered bottles I made, still crafting, but finished all the bottles I had.  On to another project.

It's Monday!

Great Monday, great weekend, great day.

Just a quick 'Happy Birfday' to my other doggie, Tara (Shar Pei).  She is 9 years old today, my whittle girl is getting old.

Ok, now for the crafty stuff.   I stayed up working on Halloween projects last night until 2:30 a.m. for my daughter, she needed some treat boxes, etc...for her co-workers and bosses.  So, I helped her out.   Makes for good brownie points...LOL.

I made a couple of pumpkin boxes out of a the pillow box, Art Phil Cart.  I made boxes of all shapes and sizes and decorated them all sorts of way.  I made covers for chocolate bars and decorated with tags.  I made some glitter boxes, some felt bags and filled them up with goodies.  I used my Art Philosophy Cart and Tags, Boxes, and More Cart.  I had fun making all these and so wanted to share the photos with you.

Well, those were my projects from yesterday - I was a little busy bee!  I am taking off work Tuesday and Wednesday to finish up some more - I just want to spend my day crafting!  Nothing more, just me in my room.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like these and if you would like to know anything about my boxes, just let me know.

Remember, I would love to hear from you.  Thank you again for dropping by and hope to see you tomorrow.

Love, live, and laugh!

Happy Birfday, Diego!

Ok, hope the weekend has been productive.  I have tried to finish up all my projects, but sigh, no way, I seem to have too many to do.  I will post some tomorrow.

Today is dedicated to my lil Diego!  It's his birfday!  He is ONE!  Yay!  My lil handsome boy is growing up.  Diego's lil tister came and visited him today to wish him a 'happy birfday'.  She came with gifts! The Mikel's brought Olive too to visit her big brodar.  She also brought Diego a bag full of goodies.  He had balloons and a new blanket and a rope toy.  We shall see how long this blanket last, it's beautiful.  Diego is only going to get it at night for sleeping.  LOL.

Thank you, Lucretia and family for the visit, Diego misses you guys and loved his visit.  He was so excited to see his lil tister that he was calm and pe-pe'd (he has never done that).  The excitement of seeing Olive again got the best of him.  LOL.

Ok, well, here are some pictures of his visit and gifts!

Thanks all for dropping by.  As always, it's been fun and a pleasure to share my day with you.
Until tomorrow, hugs.
Live, laugh, and craft.
Jackie

Diego thanks everyone for his birfday wishes, and especially his family, the Mikel's and his lil tister, Olive. :)
