I Received An Award!

Hello My Fellow Crafters!

I Hope you are having a wonderful week after a Monday Holiday, President's Day!  I am so excited and pleased to report that I have been given the "Liebster Award" by Susan from
http://cricutandgrasshopper.blogspot.com/
She was kind enough to think of me and my blog when passing this award on.   Susan, a HUGE Thank You!  You made my day!

Here is a little information on the award:
"Liebster" is German for "Dearest". The award is a "Share the love
arrangement", given to inspirational bloggers with less that 200 followers and I am one of them and I hope to not qualify for this again some day soon, he he he, though I truly appreciate this.  I love sharing my projects and love getting ideas from all my blogging crafty friends and new friends too.  I started blogging in September, 2011.  I am hoping to move along and continue the journey and get new followers.

Here's the to do list for any of the Liebster Blog Award recipients.

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented you the award .
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers.
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment on their blog.

I have a special admiration for new bloggers and know how hard it is to get others to follow. So, I encourage and hope you all will stop over at these blogs and follow them too. A moment of encouragement means a lifetime of inspiration!  We all need a little

Here are my five choices with less that 200 followers - please visit them and follow:

Again, thank you, Susan for picking me, you are one of my best followers because you come and visit and leave happy comments.  Now, please go visit the chosen.  It was hard to pick, but I tried to pick all that are starting and do not have a large following.  I think they all are talented and have beautiful blogs.  Everyone also go visit Susan's blog, her ideas rock!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Greetings Crafters:

I know I am early, but started working on this awesome project that I am going to surprise and give my co-workers on Tuesday.  It will be decorated with V-Day theme, but you can change the ribbons to suit any Holiday or simply just keep on your desk, counter, in your kitchen, or anywhere as a candy container.

All you need (supplies):
4" clay pot (1)
4" bottom plate that goes with the clay pot (2)
glass bowl
knob
glue
ribbon
paint

...and viola you can create the neatest little candy container around - a mini gum ball look-a-like.

You paint (color of your choice) the clay pot with plates, you can get decorative knobs at hobby lobby or simply get a wooden ball and paint it also.  The bowls from the Dollar Tree, the clay pots from Michaels.  I used liquid nails for glue you can also use 6000 glue (any kind that glues wood and glass).  Decorate with some ribbon and fill with candy.  Best little gum ball mini around!

Here is a sneak peek picture of one:
I will post pictures of the ones I am making when I am done in the next few days.

I hope everyone is getting ready for the special people in your life, just wanted to share this fabulous idea.  It is fast and easy.

I hope to hear from you all.
Live well, Live happy, and Love a lot; and enjoy the journey along the way!

February Already!

Greetings All:

Wow!  Where did January go?  I still do not feel I have recovered from the holidays.  I have been busy at work and busy at home.  I have had other things going on too that have taken me away from my crafting.  I will be back as soon as all those issues have been taken care of.

I am also moving my craft room to the bigger room in the house and making my craft room a guest room.  My daughter moved out and so I am taking her room as my craft room.  As soon as that is done I can post some pictures and hopefully get back into the swing of working in my craft room.

I have a retreat in March, I hope I can get ready for it with all that has been popping up, I am exhausted thinking about just getting ready for it.  But I am sure I will.  It is always good to get away and get some projects completed.

I also wanted to share what I saw on the news the other day.  Moms making money on blogs.  Check this out: http://www.iheartnaptime.net/how-to-monetize-your-blog/

I hope everyone is having a fabulous year so far.  Please leave some messages and let me know what you are doing and what you would like to see later.

Until then...

Enjoy the journey, live well, laugh often, and love a lot.  Be happy!
Jackie
