Happy Halloween!

Greetings All:

Just a quick stop to show you my latest project.  I wanted to make something for the girls in the office and for my family (girls) too.

I love witches, my favorite movie about witches is Hocus Pocus.  So, I wanted to do something with the same theme that I love ' Witches'.

I found this idea through Cricut.  I did have to alter the shoe a bit because I didn't want open toe shoes.  I used the Party Princess Cartridge.  I altered the shoe to have more of a witch style to it.  I didn't 'fit to page' because I wanted it to be as big as I could get it.  I used my Gypsy and moved it around and was able to get it at 12".

Hope you all enjoy.  Happy Halloween Week!

I did remove the heart on the heel, this one cut why I don't know.
I tried to use all Halloween paper and make them colorful.
I made four styles.

Have fun, if you have any questions let me know.  I would love to hear from you all.  Thanks for stopping by.

Live well, laugh often, love a lot.

Altered Halloween Coffin Swap

Greetings, All:

I wanted to share my altered Halloween coffin I made for my swap partner with http://creatingthecraftylife.com/.  I was pleased with how it came out that I will have to make one for me also.

I bought the coffins at Michael's last year when they went on sale for like pennies (bought like 9).  Of course, you can still get them but they will cost you I think $2.99 or something like that.

It was really fun doing it.  I just painted, crackled it, covered the inside with red felt and the bottom too.  I made a mini coffin shape tag album to go inside it (I mean you can only put so much in the coffin anyway before it burst).  LOL.  I added embellishments to the outside of it.  The best way for you to have a vision is to show you the results. :)

Here is my altered coffin for swap.

I hope you enjoy the project and get to crafting.  I love Halloween and I need to do more.  I am doing a stick pin swap, ATC Halloween swap, and TP mini swap.  Will post those later.

Thanks for dropping by.

Ikat Rug - stencil work!

Great week, Fall is here!  My favorite time of Year!

Hello, everyone.  I just simply had to share this with you all.  I found this on Craftberry Bush blog - the most amazing idea and simple too.  Stencil Work!

Check out Lucy's site: http://www.craftberrybush.com/

There is a chance to win some stencil too from http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/ikat-stencil-uzbek.html  Go visit her site and check out how easy it is to create this beautiful art work.  You can put it on a rug, on the wall, on a chair, on furniture, basically anywhere.

I personally love the Damask and Wall Art: Chandelier Stencils.  This will be my next project.

Hope you enjoy.

Happy Friday!

Whew, thought Friday wasn't going to get here.  Not that I like to rush my days, but I was ready for Friday.  Work was busy, so sorry again, no time to blog.

But as I sat down and scanned through some of my favorite places I came across this fabulous idea.  Painting rugs!  Wow.  So, if you can't find the perfect rug for that spot - just design it and paint it yourself.

How cool is that?

Go check it out: http://tatertotsandjello.com/2012/05/how-to-paint-a-rug-seven-tips-to-a-perfectly-painted-rug.html

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!

I am sorry I have been out of pocket since February.  A lot has been going on and I just simply have not had the time to blog.

Winter came and went, that was busy putting things away.  Spring arrived and had to get the yard ready for summer.  Then had to keep up with family and things happening around the house that I jus did not have time.

I thought I would post a little something to say, I am still here.

I was looking on FB and say this (reminds me of the Halloween bottles I did, never thought of using them as lables for everything containers).  So, here it is, how cool are these!

Here is the link: http://www.modpodgerocksblog.com/2012/05/diy-vintage-bottle-labels.html

I hope you enjoy or have bottles or containers you all have to mark.  All you need is scrapbook paper that is to your liking.  Check them out, it's easy and pretty crafty.

Have a great day, everyone. Enjoy the journey, we only get one.

I Received An Award!

Hello My Fellow Crafters!

I Hope you are having a wonderful week after a Monday Holiday, President's Day!  I am so excited and pleased to report that I have been given the "Liebster Award" by Susan from
http://cricutandgrasshopper.blogspot.com/
She was kind enough to think of me and my blog when passing this award on.   Susan, a HUGE Thank You!  You made my day!

Here is a little information on the award:
"Liebster" is German for "Dearest". The award is a "Share the love
arrangement", given to inspirational bloggers with less that 200 followers and I am one of them and I hope to not qualify for this again some day soon, he he he, though I truly appreciate this.  I love sharing my projects and love getting ideas from all my blogging crafty friends and new friends too.  I started blogging in September, 2011.  I am hoping to move along and continue the journey and get new followers.

Here's the to do list for any of the Liebster Blog Award recipients.

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented you the award .
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers.
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment on their blog.

I have a special admiration for new bloggers and know how hard it is to get others to follow. So, I encourage and hope you all will stop over at these blogs and follow them too. A moment of encouragement means a lifetime of inspiration!  We all need a little

Here are my five choices with less that 200 followers - please visit them and follow:

Again, thank you, Susan for picking me, you are one of my best followers because you come and visit and leave happy comments.  Now, please go visit the chosen.  It was hard to pick, but I tried to pick all that are starting and do not have a large following.  I think they all are talented and have beautiful blogs.  Everyone also go visit Susan's blog, her ideas rock!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Greetings Crafters:

I know I am early, but started working on this awesome project that I am going to surprise and give my co-workers on Tuesday.  It will be decorated with V-Day theme, but you can change the ribbons to suit any Holiday or simply just keep on your desk, counter, in your kitchen, or anywhere as a candy container.

All you need (supplies):
4" clay pot (1)
4" bottom plate that goes with the clay pot (2)
glass bowl
knob
glue
ribbon
paint

...and viola you can create the neatest little candy container around - a mini gum ball look-a-like.

You paint (color of your choice) the clay pot with plates, you can get decorative knobs at hobby lobby or simply get a wooden ball and paint it also.  The bowls from the Dollar Tree, the clay pots from Michaels.  I used liquid nails for glue you can also use 6000 glue (any kind that glues wood and glass).  Decorate with some ribbon and fill with candy.  Best little gum ball mini around!

Here is a sneak peek picture of one:
I will post pictures of the ones I am making when I am done in the next few days.

I hope everyone is getting ready for the special people in your life, just wanted to share this fabulous idea.  It is fast and easy.

I hope to hear from you all.
Live well, Live happy, and Love a lot; and enjoy the journey along the way!

February Already!

Greetings All:

Wow!  Where did January go?  I still do not feel I have recovered from the holidays.  I have been busy at work and busy at home.  I have had other things going on too that have taken me away from my crafting.  I will be back as soon as all those issues have been taken care of.

I am also moving my craft room to the bigger room in the house and making my craft room a guest room.  My daughter moved out and so I am taking her room as my craft room.  As soon as that is done I can post some pictures and hopefully get back into the swing of working in my craft room.

I have a retreat in March, I hope I can get ready for it with all that has been popping up, I am exhausted thinking about just getting ready for it.  But I am sure I will.  It is always good to get away and get some projects completed.

I also wanted to share what I saw on the news the other day.  Moms making money on blogs.  Check this out: http://www.iheartnaptime.net/how-to-monetize-your-blog/

I hope everyone is having a fabulous year so far.  Please leave some messages and let me know what you are doing and what you would like to see later.

Until then...

Enjoy the journey, live well, laugh often, and love a lot.  Be happy!

Checking In!

Greetings everyone!

I know it's been a few weeks.  I have no excuse other than, I have been really busy.  I had to take a lot of Christmas decorations down, I went to a retreat, where I sprang my ankle, meanwhile, still having to go to work everyday and taking care of my duties, like cleaning, laundry, and three dogs.

I am still here and plan to share so many things this year with you all.  Now that the holidays are over I will have more time to concentrate on scrapping and crafting.

Today I just want to share some ideas for Valentine I found on one of my favorite sites.  Tatertots & Jello are sharing 25 great ideas.  Go check them out and get started!  February 14, will here before you know it, trust me.  January has already gone so fast!

Here is the link: http://tatertotsandjello.com/2012/01/great-ideas-25-valentines-day-projects-to-make-2.html
