Merry Christmas to All!

Hellooooooooooo Everyone!

I am sorry I have not posted, but have been so busy that I really have not had time.  And with all that, I still do not have ONE gift bought.  I am not a Christmas shopper.  I really don't like shopping as it is, but shopping during Christmas my 'procrastination gene' comes out.

Where did the year go? Suddenly it is December...again...and we realize that with giant strides we started in January and within a blink of an eye, 2011 is almost gone!

A big "Thank You" to each and everyone of you, for any impact you had on my life this year. Especially for all the e-mails and comments I received.......without you, I'm sure that 2011
would have been extremely boring.

From my side I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas Season filled with Loving Wishes and Beautiful Thoughts.

May 2012 mark the beginning of a Tidal Wave of Love,
 Happiness and Bright Futures.

And to those who need someone special, may you find that
 true love.

To those who need money, may your finances overflow

To those who need caring, may you find a good heart

To those who need friends, I am still here for you

Thanks for being my friend!!

Merry Christmas and all the best in 2012

I wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and share some of my decorations in my house.  I hope you enjoy the holidays and have a fabulous time with all your families and friends.

Live well, love a lot, laugh often, and be happy!

Holiday Tuesday 1st week

Good evening, Crafters.

I have been so trying to finish my decorating.  I am starting to get really tired.  I am almost there.  I have my Mardi Gras (Bollywood now a days they call it) tree to go.  Then I will be done!  Yay.  Pictures to come.

But today, I want to keep sharing T!m Holtz 12-Tags of Christmas.  Today is Tag #6
Here is the link with instructions:http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/12/12-tags-of-christmastag-6.html

I simply love these, I am behind too because I haven't been able to do any.  Everything just came all at once.  How do people do it?  I need to learn to utilize my time better or get more organized, is that even possible.

Well, busy, busy.  I need to get back to whatever else I need to do tonight.  Thanks again for dropping by.

Enjoy the journey (no matter how busy you are), live well, laugh often, love a lot, and be happy :)  wooo-hooooo!

Holiday Monday, 1st Week

Ok, hello Everyone.

I have been really busy this weekend.  No time for computers!  I was decorating.  Took Friday off to decoration, very productive.  Saturday was suppose to be a decorating day, but it was my daughter's day to move to her own place and that was pretty much all we were able to do.  Sunday rained and I did work inside the home with more decorations.  Pictures to come.

But today I wanted to share three more of T!m's tags!  They are fabulous, his techniques are so cool.  I am going to have to sit down and make these once I have finished all my decorating.  I love that I will have ideas to incorporate on my Tag Swap!  Yay!

Holiday Wednesday and Thursday

Greetings Crafty People,

I did not have time to blog on Wednesday so I thought I would combine Wed/Thurs.  LOL, yes, I'm cheating, but I am really trying to decorate my house and make it festive.  I have put four trees up, as soon as I have a few pictures I can share, for now I will share fabulous finds!

Check this cute idea out!

How cool is this! Way cool!  This can be incorporated into cards, decorations, you can give as gifts, endless ideas, I think throwing in a snowman or two, and other Holiday figures would be awesome too.  I got this from Alison, at Oopsey Daisy, check her out: http://www.oopseydaisyblog.com/2011/11/christmas-tree-wall-art.html

Well, thanks for dropping by, I know everyone is really busy during this time, but if I can share and inspire, I will.

Enjoy the journey, live well, laugh often, love a lot, and be happy :)

Holiday Tuesday!

Happy Holiday Tuesday, crafters!

Today I found some more fabulous finds!

Printable Paint Stick Ornaments

http://todaysfabulousfinds.blogspot.com/2010/11/printable-paintstick-ornaments-tutorial.html

Today's Fabulous Finds has such 'fabulous finds'.  There is a whole tutorial and free printable on how to make these adorable ornaments that can be used for all sort of things.  You can use them as tags on gifts, on trees, anything your crafty mind can think of doing with them.

Ready to get Started?  Here's what you'll need:

Paint sticks:  The paint sticks must be the large 5 gallon sticks (nearly 1 1/2" wide).  Lowe's will sometimes give them to you for free as well as Home Depot.   Home Depot sells them in bundles.  Wal-mart sells them for .28 each.
Tip:  If you ask the employee if you can buy some from them to make a craft, most often they will just give them to you for free.  Yep, FREE!

Ok that is all you need, go to the website and get the printables or you can do anything else you like with those.  Christmas paper and mod podge it to the wood, cut your own phrases, paint them, those are just other ideas - which are endless.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoy as much as I do.  Thanks to Today's Fabulous Finds!

Enjoy the journey, live well, laugh often, love a lot, and be happy ;)

Holiday Monday!

Good day, All!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving, so much to be thankful for everyday.

This will be a Holiday month!  Soon it will be Christmas and there is a lot of work to do.  I have to decorate my house for Christmas. I have officially started this weekend my long, but fun process.  I need a lot of time because I put up several trees with different themes.  I love a lot of decorations and a lot of 'stuff'!

I will give you a progress of my deco as I go along.

Today I want to share this fabulous snowman family!  So cute!  I have a corner dedicated to my snowmen and these will be part of the family this year.
Are these not sooooo cool or what!

How To Make A 2x4 Snowman Family

Cut out 8-2x4 blocks (2" x 3 1/2")
Sand the edges, giving them a chunky look.
Paint the blocks.  Vanilla is a nice color.
Sand the edges to give them a distressed look.
On three of the blocks, tape off the top section for the hat.  (mixed dark brown and black paint together for the hat color.)  Right after they are painted, peel the tape off.  After the paint is dry, sand the edges to let some of the white paint through.
For the lower sections, choose scrapbook paper that you like and Mod Podge it to the front of the remaining 5 blocks.  Follow the same directions as in steps 7 and 8 used here to apply the paper.

Drill two holes for the twig arms in the center of each side (of the center block) for each snowman.  Drill a hole about 1 1/4" deep.  I plan to hot glue them together.  Embellish their faces, buttons, noses, eyes, scarfs, hats anyway you like, make it your own.

For further directions go to Today's Fabulous Finds: http://todaysfabulousfinds.blogspot.com/2011/01/2x4-snowman-puzzle.html

Enjoy the snowman!  Thanks for dropping by.
Enjoy the journey, live well, laugh often, love a lot, and be happy ;)

Saturday Project

Greetings, All:

Just dropping in for a quick hello and to share my Saturday project.

I had to stop today from my Christmas decor because I entered an event on a Banner swap with Creating the Crafty Life  http://creatingthecraftylife.com/ and I had to finish my partner's banners to mail on Monday.  I finished!  Yay!  I must say I am very pleased with both.  I only had to create one, but since we didn't want the Christmas theme (that was one of the rules) we went ahead and picked out different themes for our choice, but I still made a mini Christmas banner for my swap partner (Paula).  It came out so adorable.  I made both, the Christmas one (that we were suppose to make) and "Create" for her craft room (her color choice are browns and blues).  I want to keep them - lol.

I wanted to share with you what they look like.  Thanks for dropping by.  I will be back on Monday.  I must get back to decorating, that is going to take me several days!  I'll share the progress as I can.

Here are the banners, hope you like, leave some crafty love.
Both Banners
'Noel' and 'Create'

mini Christmas Banner
3x5"
'NOEL'

Thanks for dropping by.  I had to share.

Enjoy the journey, live well, laugh often, love a lot, and be happy:)

Nordic skiing....ornament series nummer fyra

Good day to you my sweet friends.  Another day.

Look at these adorable little Scandinavian style skis.  Scandinavian decor is a favorite style, with the beautiful crisp white interiors and little touches of bright colours.

Even though I love the vintage look of old books, nothing says Christmas like the traditional red, white and green....

This one is made by Lucy's son, Tristan

Click on the pictures to enlarge
Click on the pictures to enlarge

As you can see, you can use a toothpick to paint the details but you can use a stencil to make it easier, or just glue a pretty ribbon to the skis instead of painting them.  As usual, I encourage you to make it your own and run with it!  These can be used on packages, ornaments, LO, treat bags, the ideas are endless.

Please visit Lucy's blog and check out other fabulous projects.

Thanks for dropping by again, love your crafty comments always appreciated.
The sun is shining and life is good!

Thanksgiving is approaching us fast, I am thankful for breathing and everyone around me!

Enjoy the journey,  live well laugh often, love a lot, and be happy :)
