Fun Friday...continues

Ok, Crafters...

And the scrap-a-thon continues.  My scrapper buddy finally finished some of her projects.  We had to make a quick trip to Michaels, Target, and Walgreens.  But we started back up at noon.  Here are Viv's four Jess Kinderstampo Inspired, Halloween travel suitcases!  How cute are these!  Four lucky teachers will be the recipients of these Spook-tac-u-lar suit cases.

Come back later for further updates.

Thanks for dropping by

Fun Friday

Hey, Crafters:

Wanted to drop by and let you all know that today is the start of a scrap-a-thon!  I am working away with my cousin and we will be working on all sorts of Halloween projects.

We will be cutting, glueing, bonding, embossing, glittering, stickling, mod podging, hot glueing, uhmmm, and uhmmmm, anything that will put the perfect Halloween projects together.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  I will post pictures of projects later this evening if we get anything done - LOL.

Thanks for a great week.  Drop by again, see you soon.

Tired Thrusday

Hey, Crafters.  I'm glad you dropped by, but I have been so gun-ho all week that I have run out of juice!  LOL.  I couldn't sleep last night thinking of all the projects I want to do that my brain wouldn't stop.  Three-thirty in the morning came around really fast.  I knew today would be wasted, or rather me wasted today. he he he.

Anyway, I am going to take a cop-out day and just give you a cool link to a cool project.  CANDY CORN!  I love it, it's pretty cool.  Check this out.  CraftBerry Bush amazing site here is a preview and their link: http://craftberrybush.blogspot.com/2011/10/amaizing-candy-corn-favors.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2FUTaZg+%28Craftberry+Bush%29

Napkin Pumpkins Continuation

Good Evening Crafters!

I wanted to share the finished pumpkins.  I finally came up with the decorations.  After trying different things, I finally came up with the following.

I tried crows, owls, words, but all made it look too busy.  So my final decision was simple, but still involves bling, butterfly, a flower on one, and vinyl.

Happy crafting, I hope you enjoyed as much as I have and thanks for dropping by.  Until tomorrow.

Wonderful Wednesday :)

Wonderful Wednesday everyone and welcome to Inspired-By-Scrapping!  I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday.  It has been a busy day around here.  Last night my allergies kicked in and I just did not get around to finishing my pumpkins as I thought.  But I will finish and I will post the finished photos on my blog.

Autumn is in the air at my house finally.  I have pulled out the fall decorations and have placed them throughout the house (I have also placed all my Halloween decor out too).  I love this time of year, my truly favorite time.  I wish the weather would work with us here, it is not as hot as it has been, cool mornings, so I love it, but still warmer than I like for Fall.  Hince where the allergies flare up - great weather, pollen high!

I wanted to share with you another easy project.  One of my favorite and most simple decorations are these newspaper rubbed leaves.  Just walk outside and collect some leaves from your yard or school ground or local field.  These are inspired by http://villicanamomma.blogspot.com/2009/09/newspaper-leaves.html.  Found them on Tatertots & Jello.

We all have newspaper lying around and most defintely some leaves outside.  This would be a great project for school-aged children also.  A weekend project at home to keep the kiddos busy and doing things together as a family.  Not on the computer and watching television.  Try it.  Let me know what you think.

Here are the fast and easy directions and  things you will need.

Leaves freshly fallen from a tree, not dry or brittle, in various sizes.
Newspaper
Crayons in Autumn colors
Scissors
Twine or ribbon, if you would like to string the leaves and/or decorate
Tape or adhesive if you would like to display the leaves in a window

Here is what you will need to do to create some leaves of your own.

Place leaf on a flat, dry surface. Cover the entire leaf with a piece of newspaper. Use crayons to gently rub over the entire leaf until the shape of the leaf emerges through the newspaper. Use coordinating crayons to highlight and define the shape of the leaf. Cut out and hang for display. Sit back and enjoy!

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope I have inspired you to let your inner-crafter out.  Have a wonderful and safe evening.  Hope to see you back again.

Terrific Tuesday

Good day to all.  Thank you so much for dropping by today.  I hope everyone had a marvelous Monday and a great start to a terrific Tuesday!  I want to share some of my napkin pumpkins with you today.

I went to Tuesday Morning and picked out some napkins and mod-podged away.  They are not finished, today is just day one of my project.

I will post some more pictures tomorrow of the update.  I still need to put on some green leaves and swirls and things on the top.  I may add some bling.  It's still up in the air.  These are really easy, just pick some napkins out and mod-podge away.

I also wanted to share the link to MyCraftChannel with you guys.  They shared great projects with us today, their first day back.  Here is the link (here you will find the pin cushion dress forms I was talking about earlier).  They are so easy to make, I will be making these to give as gifts.

Just go to the bottom of the of the site: "Daily Shows" my favorite was #1 (for Monday) - the dress forms, the others are good tips and projects too.  Check them out.

Marvelous Monday

Hello, Everyone.

I hope you all have had a productive weekend.  I had a busy weekend.  Saturday, I cleaned house (that's my Saturday chore).  I really need to try to do house cleaning on a day during the week so I can have Saturdays off.  Just not sure what day during the week I can utilize that I am not already busy, ugh.

Saturday evening we attended Light the Night Walk, Luekemia & Lymphoma Society charitable event.  Discovery Green Park, downtown Houston hosted the activities.  All the major sponsors have tents and the walk takes place at Minute Maid Park.- home plate.  Ballons are set free at the beginning of the walk for those that survied, those that are fighting, and for those remembered.  It's an awesome walk and great cause.  Lots of activties and live music thoughout the night.  I was encouraged to particiate by my daughter, Ashley, who volunteed at her job to walk, the firm where she works was a local sponsor.  It was a great turn out.

All day Sunday I spent in my craft room, while my husband watched -- yes, football!  TEXANS won!  Beat the Steelers!  Woo-hooo. (Sorry, Kathy - we beat you guys). :)

Now for the fun stuff.  I wanted to share the project I worked on.  I used my Close to My Heart Art Philosphy Cartridge and made two Halloween pillow boxes as a surprise for two special little children that will be getting 'happy mail'.  I decorated with cut outs from my Chic & Scary Cartridge.  The paper I used is from Little Yellow Bicycle 'frightul Collection'.  Decorated with stickles and bling, added some bows I cut out of Halloween ribbon. Viola, fill with treats and you can make anyone happy.

Here are the two final results.
Front view - Cut with Chic & Scary
pillow box cut with Art Philosphy
Back view - bats cut with Chic & Scary
Well, I hope I have given you some ideas.  I really enjoyed cutting with my new Art Philosphy Cartridge and Chic & Scary - right now those are my two favorites.  I will be making lots of different projects with these two carts and sharing.

I hope everyone has a great day.  Show some love, leave a comment.

Thanks for dropping by, until next time.
Jackie, inspired by scrapping
